I could not believe the letter-writer suggesting that addiction is an illness. Cancer is an illness. Parkinson’s is an illness, Alzheimer’s is an illness. Drug addiction however is self-inflicted. How can anyone think that drug, alchohol or tobacco addiction should be treated in any way the same?
