Depends on your addition honey,drugs?alcohol?food?sex?gambling?

Therapy can help and avoiding what it is you are addicted to. Some cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) might be useful, it will not be easy and it may take you out of your “comfort zone” as you investigate why you have the addictive behaviour.. You have to be very strong and some times, if you cant do something in moderation it is best to abstain from it altogether honey.

I know I had a gambling “problem” a few years ago it turns out to be I had an awful emotional need and not a gambling problem.

Addiction is a lot to do with where your head is at, like if you quit smoking, its a mind set, you CAN do it, many just choose not to as it is more effort to change their behaviour than it is to not.

I would suggest CBT as this will help you look at why you do what you do and it helps YOU find the answers but don’t expect the therapist to give you the answers though, many people give up as they either don’t like getting taken out of their comfort zone or expect the answers to be given to them and it doesn’t work like that. Good luck x

To maintain their livelihood, Woo HsiohYi has been working as a chef in the casino for 12 years, and Lin Ching Rong has been a table dealer. In order to avoid the addictive gambling environment and limiting their contact with the lifestyle, this particular couple does not stay at the casino after work. In 2003, they were introduced to Tzu Chi by DaAi TV, and since then, their lives have changed dramatically. They became Tzu Chi volunteers and introduced Tzu Chis missions to the Atlantic City community.
