How Can We Break the Addiction?
Question by Sarawr: How can we break the addiction?
My friend is extremely addicted to weed. His mom found out that he smoked and she started crying and she won’t talk to him. He now wants to quit, but doesn’t think he has enough will power to quit. He says it’s all mental. He loves it but he knows its bad and he doesnt know how to stop. He asked me to help. I want to help him but it was pretty easy for me to quit. Any suggestions?
but the thing is, there’s no problem. he just loves doing it. like he loves the act of smoking, just as myself. so i smoke cigarettes. but i don’t want to get him started on cigarettes to eliminate his weed addiction.

For a start, you can try sharing with him your personal experiences and feelings when you were trying to quit, and try to inspire and motivate him.
Also, he can try going to rehab too, the people there will definitely try their best to help him, as they have the resources.

The key will be finding out WHY he smokes in the first place…..taking away the reasons he has for smoking weed will be the most important step, I think…..
