Films About Teens Caught Up in Drugs and Alcohol?

Question by mysterygirl: Films about teens caught up in drugs and alcohol?
Im going to be playing a role of a teenage girl (mid-late teens) who is neglected and a bit abused (not physically or sexually or anything!) and she turns to drugs and alcohol to “help”. I already saw 13, and i think that was a really good movie, especially for something to relate to. I was wondering if anyone knew any other movies like that, not comedies though, def. dramas. but, it can be a bit of a feel good movie at times. any suggestions would be great! thanks a ton!

It’s real old, but Sarah T., Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic was very good, Linda Blair from the Exorcist starred in it, an abc after school special.
