In 1982, President Ronald Reagan warned US families about the impending dangers of crack cocaine. That warning was missed by the people who most needed to find out – Parents.

If you’re a parent of a son, daughter or grandchild who is using crack, you need to know some things about cocaine and about why traditional treatment is only getting a few percent success. You will need to know how to help another recover from crack abuse.

Question by : My 21 year old son may have “explosive anger disorder.” I need to know more details about it.?
My 21 year old son went through a residential drug rehab last year. He was tested for several mental disorders because the facility mainly treated people with dual diagnosis–addiction and one or more mental conditions. He has always had a strong temper, which has gotten worse as he has grown older. His drug usage hasn’t helped, either. Upon his release from the 30-day facility, his counselor told us about his tests (with his permission). She said he tested negative for anything to do with bipolar disorders, but he has strong tendencies toward explosive anger disorder. Nothing was recommended for managing it & I can’t find much about it on the web.

Question by : Why won’t my Dr Prescribe me pain med. such as codeine or hydrocodone for my bulging discs and pinched nerves?
I experienced a bad fall and didn’t notice the pain for almost a year. I made a Dr’s. Appt., explained my pain. Lower and upper back and neck pain. Prescribed neurontin, had no effect. Moved to tramadol, worked for the pain but made me sick. Then onto nortriptiline, an antidepressant that’s supposedly good for back pain. Only effect that had was constant sleeping, it was like living in a fog and no relief from the pain. He then orders an MRI, lumbar only (which I did not know at the time). My upper back and neck are the main issues. Mri shows bulging discs of the L4 an L5. I call the Dr’s office and explain to the nurse that the nortriptiline is not working and the extreme fatigue that it is causing. She calls me back 5 days later and says the Dr. is uncomfortable prescribing me anything else and they are putting me in for physical therapy. Oh and did I forget to mention that physical therapy has an extremely long wait list in my area, unless I want to drive 30 mins away from my home 4x per week at almost 4 dollars a gallon when I’m unable to work due to the pain? He’s uncomfortable? I’m UNCOMFORTABLE!! Tells me to make an appt with the PA, I go into the appt with the PA today and he has to consult with the DR who is “uncomfortable”, I get nabumetone. I glance at the computer screen while he is out asking permission. The record says that I have “a history of noncompliance with medical treatment” WTF!! Why? because I won’t keep taking medicine that dosen’t work? It also says cocaine addiction, in remission. I haven’t touched it for almost 5 years, I don’t drink or smoke pot or anything of that nature. I work, go to college and support my son all by myself. I’m home now, I have taken the nabumetone over 2 hrs ago and my upper back still burns, lower back and neck are aching. I can’t stand or sit for long periods of time and sleep is unheard of anymore. Why am I being treated in this way? Can someone please help me to understand what is going on and what I can do to change their minds. I have responded well to the medications I listed in my question before for other issues with no addiction issues.I have never asked this Dr or any other Dr. for that matter for pain medication. I need relief!!!! : (

One of my best friends has been doing coke like every day for over a year. And he still deny’s that he is addicted. I need to get him one of these questioneer’s so he will atleast admit he has a problem. I’ve seen them before for marijuana. It’ll say: You are a pot head if: You get nervous when your low on weed, You constantly call friends for weed, You feel blah blah blah etc… please help

Pasco deputies arrested two illegal immigrants on drug charges early Wednesday morning, netting cash, firearms, crack cocaine, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, Pasco County Sheriff Bob White announced this afternoon.
