It’s the bad neighbors who cause this tense situation to worsen. This is a song i wrote about an ongoing problem that i’m having with my landlord and his pesky secretary since 4 years. Here’s the story. The secretary’s friend moved in downstairs from me with an excessively barking dog which suffers from separation anxiety. The lease clearly states that any bothersome barking dogs will have to be removed or the people will have to move away. When i nicely asked the guy to stop letting his dog bark, he turned it around and accused me of harassing him. Of course, the secretary agreed – anything to make me, the quiet one, look bad. They tried to have me evicted by bringing 4 witnesses plus themselves, the landlord and the secretary, to the rental board to ask the court if they could break my lease and throw me out. I’ve been living here, peacefully, for 12 years. The judge heard all their witnesses who are against me (who all lied to the judge about me and the dog), and then it was my turn to explain my side. I explained how the stress from the whole situation caused my gout to flare up during the 4 years with the barking, and because of the harassment i received from the secretary and the landlord. I …
