Question by m.i.s.s.: What causes an addictive personality?
If you’ve never done drugs or alcohol
an addiction to anything that catches my attention in that way….like there’s things that give me a high and it literally feels addicting. like I’ll feel obsessed & in love with it in a good way & it’ll give me anadrenaline rush even though it’s not really an adrenaline-giving type of thing. Like even just thinking about something will trigger the feel-good emotion if I’m about to do something. Like thinking about people or doing my nails or cleaning or whatever.

there are many addictions apart from drugs and alcohol, there is a theory that it is in the genes and also a bad childhood

a person has issues they can’t seem to get on top of. maybe, some past or current drama they can’t bring themselves to face so they go with escapism
