Question by chinita: What to do if you think your boyfriend has a gambling problem?
His favorite game is the roulette.
Lately he has been going to the casino a lot…yesterday was day 6. He lost all his money. Now he has no money to get to work or even eat.

So today he convinced me to go back with him so he could get his money back.
So I went and let him borrow 30 bucks and he lost them. Then convinced me to play 40 so he could get the 30 back and lost it.
I think he did feel guilty. At least he said he won’t go back.

Do you think he has a problem or learned his lesson?

Gambling is only a problem when you are losing. And if all he does is lose,then yes,he has a problem. Tell him to find where the G/A meetings in your town are. 30 bucks here and 40 bucks there is not that bad but when the whole paycheck goes to gambling then your boy might be in over his head. Part of his problem might be his choice in game. Roulette is a suckers bet. You always lose more then you win. It is designed that way to make money for the house. There is no skill involved it is dumb luck. Tell him to work on his poker skills if he wants to gamble,that way if he is talented he will win. Good luck.
