Question by isthistheabyss: My boyfriend is a compulsive gambler. Do I “help” him hit rock bottom and if so, how do I do it?
Mostly sports betting and poker. He goes beyond broke and owing everyone. Things get scarey with threatening phone calls. Been together for 2 years. We don’t live together. We’re both in our 50’s and the kids are grown and gone. Help.

really, no need to help him. he will hit the bottom all on his own. you might consider an intervention or suggest gamblers help groups to him.
