I am going through some VERY hard times right now. I have been married for 15 years to this man & since the past 4 years he started using & abusing drugs. (Lortabs, oxycontin, oxycodone, percecets, morphene suckers and marijuana & whetever else he could get his hands on. LONG story short, his abuse has destroyed our family. I have 2 children, one is 19 yrs old from former relationship, (I got married to him when she was only 3yrs). We also have a daughter together who is now 3 years old.
He had gotten so out of control he threatened to hit my 19 yr old & I stepped in between to protect her & he threatened to knock us both in the floor, but didn’t. I ended up leaving with my 2 girls hoping things would calm down in a day or two. I called him to try to see what frame of mind he was in to see if it was safe to return home, he only sounded as MAD as ever!!! He says it’s because I took our 3 yr old girl. (I didn’t want to, but I felt I had to for everyone’s safety). Well, he actually made threats against me & my 19 yr olds life on about 4 different phone calls…..(he didn’t come right out & say he would “kill us”, but it certainly was implied! Such as saying things like …”I will use all my money, power & resorces to get you & Joshualyn (my 19 yr old daughter) out of the way!!!” because he said that “NO ONE will ever keep him away from his daughter!” (our 3 yr old). another time he said “because I have done this unpardonable sin (of taking our 3 yr old away) that I am driving my own nails in my coffin!” The man isn’t even in his right mind anymore! anyway, that was just a couple phone conversations with him. Well of course I have a protection order now & I filed for a divorce about 2 weeks ago. (this all happened about 1 month ago now). Ok, now we have our lawyers & I demand hair follical drug testing because I KNOW with my own eyes for a FACT he did drugs! But lo & behold HIS HAIR & URINE test came back CLEAN!!!! How can this be??? Does anyone know HOW someone can pass a test like that when you are indeed doing drugs? Oh yes, I need to say that this past June (after years of pleading) he did go to a detox place, which he did just now complete, BUT he was Still smoking pot up till the day I left 1 month ago. & was also abusing the narcotic “Subutex” they gave him to get off ALL the other junk! SO why didn’t ANYTHING show up???? Please help, I don’t know how he could have done this! ???

I’m sorry, let me get this straight- this loser has basically RUINED your & your childrens’ lives & you want us to tell you how to help HIM out??? I’ll tell you what you really need to hear- YOU ARE A MOTHER, KICK HIS SORRY ASS OUT & TAKE PROPER CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN. you are taking sh*tty care of your children if you continue to keep him around-
ok, nevermind, I didnt read the whole thing. sorry. GOOD JOB for getting rid of him. If he is passing & you need evidence to keep him away try to document in other ways or have them do a surprise test on him or call the cops if you know he has drugs on him so they can arrest him.

He faked a drug test. How was it administered? It sounds like he could have substituted someone else’s hair clippings and urine. Ask your lawyer.
Also, read The Gift of Fear. A piece of paper won’t protect you if he’s really nuts. And ask yourself how you picked a guy like this… you should really think about it so you can act differently next time.
I’m not a medical expert nor familiar with any of the drugs you mentioned but I have been told that a good dose of table salt will decrease the drug readings. Then again it depends on when he got the order to take the test in relation to the date he would take it. In most cases the drugs can be diminished in three or four days. But that’s just what I’ve heard from others I have no proven facts. Perhaps there will be someone who can give you a better answer.
i don’t know a single way to pass the hair test …. was it done improperly? could he have brought in someone Else’s hair?…. without shaving ones head, you can’t delete the trace from the hair… maybe with excessive bleaching it could be distorted… could he have payed someone to falsify the findings?… can you prove it another way… witnesses… tap your own phone… could you get a video recorder in the house wile he’s gone, that he couldn’t find?…. hire a privet detective…

the only kind of drugs that stays in your system for a Long time is weed and its good you took your kids out of that cause they don’t need to witness stuff like that and if he feel he don’t want you to take his child from him them he such have never being doing drugs and he don’t no how to handle it so that’s his fault you can go and let them no that he is still using drugs and they would out him back in reph that’s all but what you need to do is worry about you and your kids and let god handle him just have faith
Maybe he cheated and had someone else pee test for him. Or something. Record some phone conversations and figure out how to get away from him.
find witnesses besides you and your older daughter who have seen him do drugs or on drugs, get the police to search the house for evidence of drugs
maybe he detoxed before the test or didnt take drugs for a week or so before so the tests came back clean
My best guess is he was only tested for illegal drugs, not the prescription ones that he listed as taking prior to the test.
Well, he’s obviously smarter than you thought. Unless he’s overweight, he could easily pass a drug test after not smoking pot for a month. Subutex doesn’t come back in drug screening tests. Pills don’t stay in a person system for long. Only pot stays for weeks. Hair follicle tests are usually done with pubic hair, as some dyes can cause false negatives. Hair grows about 1/2″ a month. A shave and a months growth would be all it takes. I’ll tell you what. It doesn’t matter how he did it. He did it, and now he probably won’t touch anything as long as there’s a chance he’ll go back to court again. No matter what information you come up with in regards to how he may have passed, repeating the tests probably won’t get you anywhere.
I’ll tell you something that I find interesting in your story. You were willing to go back to him (“I called him to try to see what frame of mind he was in to see if it was safe to return home…”) even though you’ve known about his drug use for the past 4 years. You even stayed with him after he went back to using after detox. Now it’s the end all be all. I don’t know what point you’re trying to make about his drug use. Custody? Visitation? Whatever. Let the man see his child, even if it’s supervised visits. He’s still her father.

When I go through your side of the story (Hoping to be 100% correct)
I would say don’t try top hang on to this marriage and stop thinking about him
the only thing that i can think of is that he cheated, maybe he used someone else’s hair or paid someone to lie about the test. i do not know if there is something that you can take to make the test come out clean but maybe there is.
hopefully as long as he has to keep taking the test he may slip up.
i hope things work out for you as i worry about your safety, he sounds like a dangerous person. good luck.
