Help….PSYCHCHIATRISTS Give Different Diagnoses!???!!!?

If anyone out there knows how to find a certified psychiatrist. I have been to at least 5 and have 3 diagnosis (actuallly like 9) when you add PTSD/to ADD/to Bipolar to Major Depressive disorder/Agoraphobia and whatever else is out there to add to my shoebox diagnosis.

I have a need to get well, 10 years is enough already.

I believe that I have addiction issues zanax to be exact, I am seeking a psychiatrists to assist in in-patient treatment using the drug Flumazenil brand name Romazicon.

I read about the lack of joy and happiness and learned it may be permanent, I am quite concerned about this. I have been abusing Benzodiazepines for 17 years. If there is any chance to repair, I want the opportunity. I live in Idaho and would love to get an informed answer. I want off the drugs and back to life.

SO PLEASE ANYONE WHO KNOWS SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP…..I would be thankful and someday happy.

Isolated in Idaho

Dump the drugs, dump the doctors. your cure is up to you. Grab a book, stroll down to the local park and spend some quality time with yourself. Learn to believe in yourself. Take up walking, not fast, just look at your neighbourhood, see the trees, bushes, lovely houses, meet your neighbours. Take control of your own life and don’t worry about anything. Drugs only make you more depressed because you worry about the drugs.

Lose the drugs they are acting as an inhibitor in your life go out and do somehting random, stop thinking of the negative, be active that will really help

Hey, I also have an ABC collection of misdiagnoses, all I can suggest is you get a GP you can trust and explain your fears and confusion when it comes to ‘what is wrong with you’.

I see your immediate problem as being the need to get off the benzos because they can affect the way you think, feel and behave (possibly why you have such an interesting collection of diagnoses), so your doctor should be able to help you get into a program to help you kick it and then maybe you can get a straight answer from a shrink.

As to happiness, its not just a chemical thing and studies have shown being a member of a church or Buddhist group can help as spirituality can influence our state of mind. Being part of a community helps one to feel they are part of something bigger.

Also having hobbies and interests are essential to maintaining your well being and they have found activities such as community work or volunteering bring out a person’s sense of altruism and a sense of accomplishment. By helping others you are rewarded by feeling good because you gave.

Also a healthy diet, light exercise, social activities and good sleep also play a part in being happy and having a full life.

Yes, I have seen many psychiatrists that give me many different diagnoses. I’m supposedly bi-polar, have PTSD, anxiety, major depression, and borderline to name a few. I have decided to declare myself me and that is it. Now when somebody asks me my diagnose I say I don’t know! LOL I am so confused like you. About the benzo addiction… you should seek help to get off them because I think it is dangerous to stop all at once.
