Stay away from the smokes.

You could ask your parents to buy you some quit smoking gum, especially if you’ve been tempted of late.

Smoking is part of a desicion you make when the time is right and you have two answers to think about: Yes or No. If your parents want you to live your life your way, they should be understanidng about this desicion you make/made and tell you what they think for you to console and think about then listen to your loved ones feelings of this desicion and brood over everything they say compared to your reasoning, and make the desicion of yes or no. If you can deal with your desicion, so can they.
